Ideogram 4.5: editing that leaves the rest alone
Released on 30 September 2026: change one thing in a picture and keep everything else exactly as it was, round after round.
By The Crewnema team
Ideogram released Ideogram 4.5 on 30 September 2026, on its model page rather than with a launch post. Its focus is editing. These are the points Ideogram published, as reported by the platforms that carry it.
What Ideogram published
- Precise editing that keeps untouched pixels, supports masks and reduces drift across several rounds of edits.
- Edits made at the source picture’s full resolution, shown on a 24-megapixel photo, and edited crops whose edges blend back into the original.
- Up to four reference images.
- Native 2K output, with four speed settings that set the price, not the resolution.
- Available in Ideogram’s app and API; open weights are planned but had not been published.
Our view
This answers the request we hear most after a first draft: keep all of it and change one thing. Most image models redraw the whole picture to change one part, so the label shifts or the face changes. An editor that leaves the rest of the pixels alone is worth more to a business than a better first picture, because the first picture is rarely the last. Editing at full resolution also suits real product photos, which are usually large.

In Crewnema
Ideogram 4.5 is not on Crewnema’s roster yet; Ideogram V4 makes the stills at the Low level. In Crewnema you can already edit a picture by instruction, remove its background or upscale it, from the chat or the shot itself.
